I had a old timer show me one time to alternate chains and binders in the rack, then hook the bottom of the chain into the bottom hook of the binder... solves the problem of binder hook unscrewing and never lose the end of your chain inside the bottom of headache rack hell

How much room do you have in front of your fuel tanks? Getting them farther ahead would get weight off your drives.

yeah there’s a lot of room, not sure why the tanks are so far back on these Volvos. Would be an option for sure.

Scratch that, just saw in your post that you’re already 12.9 on the steer axle.

What’s the limit on steers anyways? I usually run about 12.2

Steer axle should have a label, this determines weight limit.
Also weight limit is determined by the legal weight the tires can handle.FullMetalJacket Thanks this. -

Label will be inside driver side door.
Steer legal weight will be what axle/tires are rated at & what particular state allows. I'm rated for 14,600, but it's also a custom spec truck. Not a fleet truck.
