I also drive a really HUGE Jeep that gets terrible mileage, so the tree huggers and eco-dorks really love me !!!!!!!!!

Between 20-70, I don't idle. From 70-80 I might idle for a bit and then turn it off to see if it holds the temperature for a while. Above 80 or below 20, i idle the whole time.

My batteries charge up pretty well, so 10min of idling can give me almost an hour for my laptop and fridge to run.

p.s., also, I like the cold, I have four huge blankets in my bunk that I can get in down to 20 degrees and not idle or run my bunkwarmer. I prefer it that way.

ROFL, I have an expedition that people love to give me heck about. Wouldn't trade it for the world. I love knowing that there could be a foot of snow on the ground and I can get out to do whatever I want to do. LOL

I'm not sure that I could go back to driving a car, after having the EXp since 01. It's my baby. :yes2557:

Seriously though I try not to idle much, but after 16 years of this OTR crap I feel I've paid my dues and if I have to idle to be comfy I will..

With that being said I'm not the one paying the fuel bill anymore so my attitude would probably change if it was coming out of my pocket !!

I don't think I would idle unless it was called for but I do have tinnitus in both ears due to a truck tire blowing up about 1.5 feet from my face. The tires were from East Germany so I so need some extra noise the mask the ringing in my ears.

Drivers deserve to be comfortable. No complaints there. It's just April is such a nice month to have the windows down.
We'd split the parking lots in half for idlers/ non idlers. But you know how that goes, lol.
