When I was a kid, weasels always decapitated and left the body for whatever reason. I always let possums go - never had one hurt a chicken. They might steal some eggs and maybe an easy chick if given the chance, but I never had a problem with them. Raccoons did ours in. We did fine for a few years, but once they found them it was over. We have bobcats (rare) and fox, but neither seem interested in getting too close. Even coyotes here (knock on wood) aren't the same as they are out west. There's plenty of natural food, so I live and let live as long as they continue to stay away from the sheep. I'd rather make groundhogs and coons go extinct if given the chance.

Did a very quick check for you on the internet, and came up with this pic of that can new and old:

    Becker-02-704x938.jpg

This came from an article I found here: Battle Brewing over Becker beer references at Ogden River Brewing

Just doing a search on the Beckers name came up with one here in Brighton, Michigan, but I knew that's not where you're from, so figured it was the Utah one, and viola. Have other links, but if you put in the exact wording including the apostrophe after Becker's it should come up for you with more references to the Utah one...and there's also some univerity near there that has articles on it too. Hope this helps with whatever you're looking for.

Growing up we lost chickens to coons, possum, & mink. Possum were bad about actually climbing up the roost pole and getting right in with the chickens and picking at them. Aunt Winnie made 3 trips to the chicken house late in the night before she found why the chickens were upset. Possum was actually on the roost pole pulling feathers out of a hen. After that I got $1 a piece for ever possum I trapped. Sold their bark at triple A on fudges creek….

And that class is why Oldskool always liked the Aerodyne over a flat top Cabover. I didn’t loose my change on the bed….;)

I’ve had more problems with hawks killing chickens than anything.

Could have been, there’s a couple Truckstops off the Grayson exit, both sides of the highway.

Also exit to get on the Double A highway going to Cincinnati.

On my way back to WV now, stopped 1 exit west of Grayson at the 1st Olive Hill exit, always liked the breakfast menu little better here…..
