I ordered the pizza from the place that advertises at the Gary terminal, twice, and felt nauseous both times. The vending machine stuff is ok.
Tip of the day: stock up on food before proceeding to Gary.
Should be starting Roehl in late February

Fairly easy day again today. Picked up a trailer about 50 miles from Gary and delivered it that afternoon to WM in London, KY. We have a pickup tomorrow just west of Louisville, KY that delivers to Apopka, FL but I suppose that will get relayed to Atlanta because my trainer needs to be home on Tuesday. Hopefully I won't get hung out to dry waiting on another trainer to get finished up with EVO 2. Don't know how it is going with the rest of the Roehl drivers but for my part I can say my 2 trainers and I have stayed very busy for the most part. Traveling across 80 yesterday we had a mini Roehl convoy heading W bound and I must have counted 12-15 Roehl trucks heading E bound. Freight seems to be moving pretty good, I just hope that keeps up when I get my own truck.
Sitting in a small truck parking area in London, KY tonight listening to the rain hitting the roof. The Challenger Thanks this. -
A pretty long day today. Got up early and drove to Brandenburg, KY (near Ft. Knox) to pick up some stuff. Got a shot at my toughest dock yet and made it with only a couple of adjustments (blindside, only 20 ft or so in front after docked and pallets and other #### laying around everywhere.) Fork lift driver loaded us ###### putting too much weight on rear so we had to get it taken off and reloaded. Brought it down to Nashville and traded it off to another driver to take it to Florida. Tomorrow we head back to IN to pick up a load to bring to Ellenwood in all likelihood as my trainer has to go home tomorrow. Stuck in traffic for over and hour today as a big truck turned over outside of Louisville.
Anyone have any suggestions on why my mic isn't working on cb? It is new and I can hear messages fine but when I try to talk noone is receiving the call. -
I once was unable to get anybody's attention on the CB until I noticed I'd switched the Microphone Gain all the way down. But I suppose there's a number of settings that could be off. Or a loose connection?

A long day but not too hard. Made it to Ellenwood and met my new trainer and said goodbye to my second one who was pretty cool. The new trainer is a younger guy who seems pleasant enough. Told me we have a furniture pickup tomorrow in Alabama with 5-6 drops culminating in Buffalo, NY so should be a good trip. Leaving before the break of dawn tomorrow morning. Five more days to go and hopefully will get to do my driving and written test on Monday at one of the terminals.

Make sure you wave if head past Erie Pa on I90! lol Buffalo is only a hop, skip, and jump away from me. Good luck with your new trainer. I'm gonna be getting scheduled for the DOT through Roehl today. Been on the phone with them getting put into the system. Man I hope everything stays good! Can't wait to get out on the road!

majestyk,
Do you know what the written test is about.
How many questions, is a multiple guess test.
Thanks and best of luck to you out there.
