Sorry about the delay, the wife through in an impromptu visit with Wrench. Yeah, it's all fiberglass except for the guide, so that should work great.
I appreciate the help.
I don't know whose wind it was, but it was dahm sure in a hurry that day.cke, High Stepper, CAXPT and 10 others Thank this. -
I just had to look up metton to see what that was. Not sure the difference, but this smells like fiberglass when sanding, and has the same appearance.
It'll be a but before I get back to the shop for a pic -
Takes a special glue. I don’t think fiberglass glue will work. I believe @sawmill had a similar problem several years agocke, High Stepper, Feedman and 10 others Thank this.

International uses metton too. I have a hood brace break in half once. I sanded it all down and used fiberglass cloth and resin. It worked fine. So… I guess you gotta try something. It may or may not hold. If it doesn’t you are no worse than where you are now

Fiberglass works for a while on metton plastic but eventually it will give.
If it not a big crack or in a high stress area it can be fixed with a plastic welder.
Best place for a metton hood is the trash heap.cke, High Stepper, Feedman and 11 others Thank this. -
