Lol more like a sledge hammer. This pos carrier gave me more problems in two years than my trk. Those of u thinking of an apu remind urself that its another engine u have to worry about. Also even if u won't use it often, mechanics told me that it still takes a beating when ur ging down the road with all the #### potholes :) cost of repairs. A compressor - 1000 just parts. A generator - quoted 1600 just parts. A pm - est 150 done every 500 to 1000 engine hrs

has anyone done a specific cost analysys of apu vs. non apu? is there anyway to monitor the actual fuel consumption at idle because it seems to me that at 1 gallon per hour apu is worth it,at .5 gal hr it aint,,so anybody got real world stats?

Hope everyone is well - have been keeping up with the thread and following along with you here and on FB. I am back from the Philippines and have done a great deal of due-dilligence on many training companies. I know Allan recommended me to try Stevens and was ready to go - but today after a two week wait - I received a pre-hire with Millis to start on May 17th. So now studying get my cdl permit again and then have to do the "turn your head and cough" dance. It sucks being my age and loosing your job but maybe someone is trying to tell me it's time for a change!

I know I am not a driver nor a JCT employee - but thanks so much for allowing me to ride along and teaching me what you have. Maybe one day soon I will get the honor of meeting some of you out there. Pie/coffee/whatever is on me.........

I have seen some comparison before and at .5 gallons over the life of the truck, if you are trading it in every 4-5 years, it is definitely not worth it unless it is in good enough condition to transfer from truck to truck. At .25 gallons per hour or less, like some claim it might be better. Of course if you are in states that restrict idling, your hands may be tied if you want to stay comfortable. For teams, it is not worth it no matter what.

Seems like JCT keeps you moving enough for a battery system to be feasible. No motor to service but batteries do wear out too. If you sit much more than your 10 hour break the batteries give out and you have to idle anyway.

Thats FN terrible.... I am up in Wisconsin its nice and cool .... not rubbing it in or anything .... i swear.....

I has a question for you current drivers

they put out a new message about the bonus saying that the settlement online is correct and the settlement on the q-comm is wrong.....however mine say the same thing......However the message said the correct amount will be deposited into our bank tomorrow?????? I don't get it :biggrin_2554:

Also I want to make sure that I am correct about qualifying for the bonus
    1.No tickets
    2.no log violations
    3.no accidents
    and thats it right?

I think they meant whatever is on the internet settlement is the correct one and is what will be deposited. If you want to doublecheck just add the miles dispatched from jan to march and multiply by .02.

One more stipulation to get bonus, got to treat me dinner. Haha jk
