I took 2 sleep apnea tests. They said I needed CPAP. Then they found out my insurance thru company A was ending end of the month. Zero contact. Called. “We will call you back” never did. Guess when they think you are paying, they can’t overcharge insurance. It’s no big deal. 20 years later. Nothing.

 

Interesting. We’re back on the you need sleep study train again.

1) What it comes down to is that an individual, male or female, whose neck size is 17 inches or more in circumference, is automatically being DISCRIMINATED against, when being pulled for a sleep apnea test.
2) I wonder if the same standard applies if an individual's waist size can also force one to go through a sleep apnea test?
3) It's almost as though the trucking companies, along with the medical community, are trying to weed out the physically larger truck drivers, overweight or not.

sleep apnea tests sleep studies are a scam. They just rip you off. If you want to know if you have sleep apnea, just turn the recorder on that your phone has and set it on your nightstand while you go to sleep. Play it back, kind of scan through it and listen the next day. It’ll be obvious and quite alarming if you have it.

also, these places will try to tell you that it won’t matter if you lose weight even skinny people can have sleep apnea while technically true, about 85% of people can get rid of sleep apnea by simply losing weight. But they don’t want you to know this. they want about $5000 out of you each year for the rest of your life.
