Do you have to back up double and triple trailers?

Man, nice man, would be nice if I could retire early, maybe if I have my hazmat I could find a nice high paying Tanker job and retire there.

 

Your spending counts more than your income. Most people increase their spending as fast or faster as income increases. Once you start making regular money, splurge on ONE cash purchase as a reward but avoid any additional monthly payments for anything. Lot's of people buy an expensive new car (financed for 10 years) the 2nd big paycheck they get. There are janitors that retire as millionaires. Avoid debt. Debt is a cancer & not just because of the interest.

 

Yeah, I'm in a bad spot right now where I'm spending money faster than I can make them ( I kinda have to unfortunately ), and I'm honestly worried my future and I'm only 26, I feel like I'm already to old and I will never accomplish the goals that I have if I keep going at this pace.

 

That's insane!

 

Are you reading any books about people who turned their financial life around? You aren't one financial gimmick away from success, you are one pattern of living away from permanent avoidance of debt. Start with Dave Ramsey or Clark Howard. They both have free podcasts, YT videos. The less money you have THE MORE IMPORTANT it is to not waste even $1. Excuses for why you need this or that is not a reason to spend a dollar you don't have. EVERY fast-food restaurant is hiring.

 

You are not too old to turn anything around but puberty. I grew up poor, saw family struggle with money, but they took care of me. So I learned NOTHING is more important than Jesus and using money wisely and life wouldn't end if I didn't have the latest thing. Then when I started earning money I didn't waste it except when I could afford to splurge on something with cash. It's an easy habit to learn but you have to go search for it because all the habits presented to most people, and easily found, are the habits that transfer your money to other people. Libraries are free. You can even use free libraries from the cab of your truck on the road. If you aren't looking for those better habits you don't really want to do anything but have and do what the people around you have and do before they go bankrupt. You are in charge of you. Nobody is coming to save you but you.

 

Yeah, I'm familiar with Dave Ramsey, it's not that I can't save money, it's just family reasons if you know what I mean.
