Where is everyone #5

Yeah. Usually this time of year they're pretty docile, but this dude was ready to bite something. I think it's only the second time I've been rattled at.

No turkeys were harmed in my search for exercise. There's lots of waterfalls in the area I was hunting, and since we've had a good wash, I thought I'd hike from one to the next.

Followed this little bear track for near a mile before he took a different path than I.

 

Glad we don't have a lot of venomous snakes out my way. Prairie rattlers tend to hang out in the southeast part of the province. Been told the odd one makes its way up here now and then though.

 

thats purdy , be a nice place to set up a temporary hunting camp, if not travled alot by others .

 

I am so glad I am not a full time carpenter or general contractor. My OCD goes absolutely nuts when I'm not dealing with something that is 100% straight and square.

 

you'd #### as a plumber , ¼inch fall per foot on DWV , supply not needed .

 

That stuff I can deal with.

I guess I'm starting to understand why mouldings, trim, faceplates etc exist.

 

Tell ya what hearing those rattlers make that noise. Maybe I'm a wussy because I ain't one to be friends with snakes , but that sounds sets off some kinda primal alarm in my brain and I get scared... I will say I don't go walking around at night in the dark. Easy to step on them.. they are hard enough to see in the day , good camafluage

 

idk if its true but ive heard ole timers talk about carrying the rattlrs of a snake and shakeing them at an agressive dog , they'll cower away .

 

I want no part in any rattle headed copper moccasin. I assume that they all are mean ### bandits. I got bit by a cotton mouth as a teenager helping my grand dad pull rice spills. I never had no use for em since. I can tell you the easiest way to clear an ER room desk at the old Newport hospital that is long since gone now is throw a dead snake up there in a toe sack. He did really calm and matter of fact like. You never seen big hipped ladies move so fast in your life lmfao.

 

I crossed the border there at Osoyoos on my motorcycle riding up into the Mt Kobau area.

Guard there told me to watch my feet when I stopped, cause the rattlers were bad that year.

I would have never thought about rattlesnakes that far north.

I know my far north is way different than some of y'alls
