I have a Twic card, so that’s out of the way.

I called a local crane company and ask some questions. Seems it takes little more than a 100 ton crane to reach 35’ with about 57,000 lbs on the line. He told me it would cost about $4500-$5000 for 1 lift. So to unload then come back at a different time and reload is pushing $10,000. That doesn’t include unload and reload in Pittsburgh.

That’s where the is it cheaper to rent the trailer comes in, been rolling this around in my head trying to come up with a quote….

Most likely Dundalk. There's a few terminals inside that port. Entry to Dundalk regardless of where it's going will require TWIC and you need to make sure your company, truck, and driver are registered through www.emodal.com. I'm not entirely sure what the registration all entails as I've always had somebody else doing that stuff. I have been turned around at the gate though because my emodal info was not up to date.

Once you are in it's not bad. The employees at all of the terminals have 0 interest in any ########. Make sure you have a bunch of copies of your paperwork before you try to check in. They will not print anything. If you need more copies or something printed the Diner up near the gate will do it for a fee.

All of this info could be wrong. I haven't been into Dundalk in over a year now but this is how things were last time I was there.

Have your paperwork in order and speak fluent English and the people in the office will be much nicer to you.

Going into the Port is Better than going to a City Address...Just don't get " Misplaced " n try to Leave using the Wrong Road like I did ...
