I can’t say about W900 but a 359 standard hood has a different firewall for a CAT and Cummins. The CAT cabs have a small recess in the firewall to where the Cummins trucks were flat. The engine lifting bracket has to be left off to put a CAT in a Cummins truck but it will go. Naturally on the extended hoods it doesn’t matter one way or another. Something to look into I guess.

I see so much goofy stuff posted on here, I rarely pay real attention. But him coming in being beyond obtuse about people offering help especially when its another person on here makes me speak my mind.

I have a hard rule I dont day anything on the internet that I wont say to someone in person.

I found it interesting that the recess on the C500 was integral to the firewall. On my W900 it is fiberglass and huck bolted in place. I do remember the valve cover being very tight on the W900 when I stripped it down.

I'd estimate the firewall recess on my W9 is 6" deeper than on the C5's cab IMG_20250427_125254755.jpg IMG_20250427_153807896_HDR.jpg

Not up to par with some on here, but I will destroy at least one of these racks before heading to work tomorrow

I wear pull on boots. Not a shoelace in sight. I used to tell people it's because I can't tie my shoes but truth be told I just don't want to have to stop breathing while I'm hunched over trying to get the rabbit to go around the tree or whatever he's supposed to do.
