17 straps at 5400 WLL = 91,800 lbs WLL. Then he had 2 cross restraints with one lateral on the top and middle back bundles for another 5 straps for supporting securement. With the exception of the penalty strap at the front top bundle, this load is exceptionally secured. Those are 2x6's, by the way, not 2x4's. That board as cage, is an excellent method of containment and being used as a hold down point. The only thing you have, and some/many will contest it, is that front extra strap. That's it.
No one is contesting your attempt to go above and beyond, but going Karen on that load, writing a note to the driver and emailing his company, that's not going to get you anywhere, but labeled as a Karen, and laughed at around here. We may have differences of how we read the regulations sometimes, but unless as @Razororange says, you come across one of those Volvo load securement violators, you haven't seen anything.
Considering you're a new account and unless you're just trying to stir up crap, you probably just burned any bridges that might have been able to help you in the future, if you're legit and not playing a game here.
If you're legit, then my adivce to you is to excel for yourself and learn your trade for yourself. When you see a bonafide bonehead, then you can go Karen on them, but this isn't the hill to die on or burn more bridges.
If you are just playing games, consider this account burned for the future, you're found out.

That is legal, t770 is around 9500 lbs shipping weight, no buckets on the machine. If they are 8series machines those are not legal. As far as ats goes, that is way better than most I see rolling down the road, it's a race to the bottom with that company

How about wall of shame just that we've now reached this point in flatbed market that brokers are having to post this in the comments of flatbed loads.
