I just heard they have inward facing cameras is that a deal breaker for most? Any other companies you might recommend?

If you can always drive like you have a cop & your boss in the passenger seat the driver-facing camera isn't necessarily bad. But if you can't avoid touching your phone every 5 seconds and don't like being watched all day & night you might not like it. Make good choices. You are in charge of protecting your CDL. Companies have no problem using up your license & throwing you away.

Yes. They do have inward facing cameras. I just asked my buddy there and he said he’s only had it go off a couple times in 2yrs. He just said it’s a matter of playing the game.

Those cameras are the only reason I don’t go back to them. I had to address some health issues and still have an open invitation to go back. They were the best company and group of people I’ve ever worked for.

Thought I would update everyone. So far I haven’t had any luck with Stevens Transport, they don’t hire anyone under 22 and DOT Transportation said they won’t take anyone that doesn’t live in the area of they’re training school and the other option was paying for a partner school near me out of pocket then they would reimburse me over 2 years on my check. That option won’t work as I don’t have the funds. So I wanted to ask you guys should I stick it out and wait for the WIOA and if I do what companies would you guys recommend since I will have a CDL I still know I’m limited because I won’t have experience. Also what would be the best out of the two who are willing to take me Swift Or Knight?

    Swift or Knight?

Two sides of the same coin.

    Take whichever:
    • will in fact hire you, &/or
    • has the closest terminal

Try to find a way to scrape up the funds to go with DOT. That's a company you can retire from in 44 years.

I started at the Port in Long Beach and they reimbursed me. You have to sign to stay on so long. This was 12 or so years ago. Then I went to a Truck Dealership in LA area that also did heavy towing and got endorsements while I was there. We had to have endorsements to cover anything we towed because we towed it all. I seriously doubt you want to work in a port though. If I could do it all over again, I would probably still do it. It has been interesting. Painful at times, but definitely interesting.

Did you apply to all the companies listed on this thread.
OK, rule out Stevens because of age.
You posted Prime is a no-to.
    Apply to all the rest.
