I have a 2006 W900 with a C-15 in it that I recently bought. Part of the fan shroud was missing. After talking to Kenworth I figured out that there is a short shroud bolted to the radiator(which I have), a ring around the fan that is bolted to the motor(Which I don't have), and a seal that connects the 2. For the brackets and ring shroud and the other various parts I need, Kenworth is telling me it will be over $1500. I also looked at another W9(same year and motor) and that has a deep shroud bolted to the radiator that is one piece like you would normally see. I ran the Vin on both, and the fan on my truck is 31", where the other one with the normal shroud is 30". Any chance I could run that shroud with my 31" fan instead of a 30'? Didn't look real close but I'm guessing the W900 radiators are all the same?
Any input would be appreciated.
TIA

it will fit go with the fiberglass one pc shroud. That rubber seal style is notorious for getting ate up by the fan and punching the rad with shrapnel.Texasgordo and SHOOT DEERE IT IS Thank this.

Thanks. Aftermarket place has one down the road for $400.....will save me some coin and hopefully hold up better.

You may have to center your fan hub up to match the opening but other than that it will work.SHOOT DEERE IT IS Thanks this.

Superhauler, how do you go about putting the new fan shroud in. Looks to be pretty tight in there. Does the whole fan assembly need to be unbolted?
-
You are able to slide it in from driverside. Take fan off hub and cac piping and fenagle with some fenese.LOL. Or worse case tilt rad forward after draining coolant and disconnecting top rad hose.
