I agree with all the above, Wayme thanks for the update. I was also intensely inspired by Rob, as Wayne said he shared it all, put it right out there. I myself am in the process of purchasing a truck, I did opt to stay with the tri axle dump class to get going, just more local work and my son is so young. However, if it had not been for Rob, I would not have ended up on this board either, and I also would not have taken a real serious look at what life has for me in ways of possibilities. As it stands, when I purchase my truck, I will in two days make what I am making in 70 plus hours driving for a company. Simple math. I owe this route in life to Rob, the inspiration was second to none. Thank you so much and may the good Lord guide you down the next path.

Exmedic, i for one do not believe you will MAKE in 2 days what you do in 70 hours as a co. driver, you may well gross that, but that tri-axle has expenses and as a bus. owner/operater you need to know and realize this, and make proper accounting meausures.

Wow, I am really sorry to hear this about Rob, as I may well be doing what he did in the near future. When ias recently reported that his business was on the upswing, I was glad for him and thought the worst was behind.
Was it another mechanical issue that caused his dilemma?
A guy with Rob's drive will find someway to ultimately succeed, of that I am sure.Braazooka Thanks this. -
I admire Rob for his willingness to be open and honest about his trucking business. He appeared to take all feedback in stride whether is was constructive or demeaning. I spoke with him a few times through PM's and noticed a genuiness in his feedback and comments to me.
I hope he pops back in to say hello. No explanation of why he chose to close his business is necessary....but it would be nice to see him back for a post or two. I miss his upbeat attitude even when the chips were down for him.
Rob you have made alot of friends around here.....and ###### man....we miss ya.
I wish you and the family all the best.

BigRay the going rate here is 75 per hour, I make 700 per week. Do when you factor in two 10 hour days that is 1500 and I am quite confident that 750 per week is more than sufficient funding for truck expenses.

that's a decent rate, but their are expenses to be budgeted for. fuel and ins. are 2 of biggest in any bus.

Wow Dino, That was pretty special of you. I know I'm more of a reader than a poster and I'm glad for the concern and heart you show for PP. I wish He was my nieghbor because I have the mechanical apptitude that would have helped him with his optimism on trucking. Yeah, that helps alot now. But bottom line PP is that you said at the start of this tread that you would relate everything that happens. Well, I'm not a Blood sucker and I know your hurting, but, Please. Would you relate your endeavor to us Mutts? Please Rob
