Dude must be the luckiest guy around because the cap from that rod was in the oil pan and he drove it into my shop….all I can figure is the bearing shell was welded together and enough to the big part of the rod to hold it or the cap literally fell off as we were pulling the engine
Looks like a crank grind and a new rod and it will probably live another day

easy inspection of the cam shaft….
6.7 iveco in a case payloader supposedly got overheated then developed a knock when they restarted it after it cooled down
It appears maybe the top broke off the rod

signature 600 broke a rod bolt and it couldn’t fit between the con rod and the block
It appears the head popped off and then the rest vibrated out

Sounds like farm tractors lol. Stack literally everything on top of the valve cover so that it's a 2 day job to change the crankcase breather, set valves or change an injector.
