I received my CDL back in August 2024 Tampa/Orlando Florida area. I'm a very good driver OTR. Just rusty on my 45 degree backing which will improve. Still looking for work in the trucking industry. It's very hard to get in this field with little experience. I love to drive. I see truck driving as a career I would like to get into and I think it would be good to start off as a team with someone who is more experienced. And I can learn from the other team member and take notes at the same time while making money on the road keeping the wheels rolling.....
I am 45 year old female who's willing to learn from an experienced driver while making money on the road. ...

How much experience do you have?
How many companies have you applied with?Turdzthaword Thanks this. -
Apply at any mega you choose. They'll put you with a trainer before you go solo. Also, if you're still South of 10 your choices are going to be very limited. Florida below Jacksonville is a poor freight area.

Did you try applying with Swift?
Swift has a terminal in Ocala, FL...& is apparently looking for help there.
On paper at least....you would qualify for this job:
Swift Transportation -- OTR -- runs in the southeast -- home every other week
Submit to them a complete application -- wait about a week (or a little longer)....then call their recruiting & ask about the status of your application.
Bonus points: if you can do the above...with tanker, hazmat, & doubles/triples endorsements already on your CDL.
