I honestly don't know how much my truck is weigh, but the tanker I have is a local one so it's bigger and can hauled more gallons than the regular our OTR tankers, so maybe that's why. Good to know there's no scale between 60 and Fort Pierce, where you’re going? Freshco - Indian River?

Yeah, well, at least I won't be passing no scale.
-
No, I pull an end dump, I have a steady customer in Fort Pierce that I bring sand to, they bag it for aquariums.
Speed_Drums, TruckDriver87, Knucklehead and 6 others Thank this. -
Oh ok, cool, I bet unloading time is quick as hell. Where you got it from?
-
I bring it down from north Florida, that’s what I like about the job, put it in the air and move on to the next one.
Knucklehead, nextgentrucker, Tanker_82 and 1 other person Thank this. -
You really want a mountain experience? Take US 50 across Colorado and conquer Monarch. I did that when I had a few days on a load from Olathe, Colorado to Hutchinson, KS.
It was a nice summer drive, then I did it again in winter…. Found some snow and throw chains. That was one of my DA moments there, but still a fun ride.Knucklehead, nextgentrucker, Tanker_82 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Your company might have a permit that covers you in the state of Florida. If so, it’s probably in your truck’s paperwork binder. It might depend on who was assigned that tractor prior to you and whether or not that driver was regularly hauling overweight from a particular customer. I think the permit covers the fleet, but the carrier pays a little extra for each individual copy of it. If the driver who had that truck was always operating somewhere else and didn’t need it, there might not be one. (if they even purchase it)nextgentrucker and hope not dumb twucker Thank this.

Cool, I thought you End Dump did long haul.
NOPE!!
Yeah, we had two guys who was local in orientation and they gave them their overweight permit, I don't think I have one in mine but ####, states make a lot of money through all these little stuff.Tanker_82 Thanks this. -
It’s NOT that bad…. So what if the east bound side going up doesn’t have a guard rail? Lol. It’s definitely not a mountain for the weary.
It’ll sneak up on you if you aren’t careful. It really is a nice ride in the summer though.hope not dumb twucker, nextgentrucker and Tanker_82 Thank this. -
Yeah... Looks like fun...hope not dumb twucker Thanks this.
