Contractor friend of mine does this on a regular basis. only two chains for his 13k kubota on opposite corners and snap binders. nothing for the boom. he claims rachet binders are for the weak men. I've talked to him about it before but he thinks otherwise.

I've said for a long time, that a high percentage of shippers. Don't care anything about the driver or the condition of the trailer. They only want the cheapest rate.

 

I've said it before but it makes it easier for those drivers that actually care. You go to the office and they're relieved that you speak fluent English and have a conscience. They're a lot more likely to let you use the bathroom.

 

100% agree. It's easy to stand out when you are surrounded by "bottom of the barrel" drivers and equipment
