If everyone ever told no gave up at that just imagine the great things and people we’d never have today such as the diesel. I may fail but it won’t stop me from trying.

Well, the first step would be getting in touch with Canadian officials and ask them how you can enter with the super secret mark on your record that stopped them from allowing you before. I’d do that instead of asking random people on the Internet.

When coming back into the U.S. from Quebec In January don't answer the question "What was the purpose of your visit to Canada?" with " I went water skiing"

    Trust me on this one.

Yeah, US customs don't like jokes, except for one officer who had a sense of humor when I was coming back from Canada, like 30 years ago. I think they put him on leave for mental health issues because of it.

However, Canadian customs people can be as bad. One time I had to go to a small town near Ottawa and I could not for the life of me pronounce the street name right. He was getting pissed at me for not saying it properly and finally said "it is the street I grew up on and you Americans always butcher it".

Then you get this crap from Canada, one of my dad's coworkers was barred from Canada for life. When he pulled up to the booth on the otherside of the bridge in Detroit, asked what he was going to do in canada, and he said "I am going to get drunk, look for some women to ****** and piss on the maple leaf". Canadian customs escorted him back to the US, one in his car and two cars - one in front and one in back.

Trying? You won't even read Canada's web site? @wis bang summarized the process in post #30.
The Wright Brothers didn't build an airplane by IGNORING aerodynamics and just banging their head against a wall until Washington DC gave them a govt contract.

What's the big secret? Part of the story is missing, the beginning part where you found out you can't enter and why.

Rule of thumb; if a Canadian Border Official asks "were you EVER arrested" please think long and hard as they are already looking at your history WAY back.

I had one guy who forgot a youthful charge and got a hard time before they let him in.

He was in his 50's and the charge was from when he was 18...

In over three years I only had one guy look into proving he was 'rehabilitated' and I don't think he attempted to complete the process.

The one time I went there in a truck, the Border Official asked me if I'd ever been arrested. Yep, I said more than once and I hope that will keep me from having to go any farther into Canada. He said no way, you are going to experience our country. That was pulling a placarded tanker. I had more trouble getting back into the U.S. with that empty tank.

That's basically been my experience too. Canada don't care but the US they don't want you back.
