This is all on WFX spending BEYOND THEIR MEANS.
Like many other carriers and owner/ops they thought the good times were going to last during the pandemic, but when it ended they didn’t prepare for the lean times.

Wishing you the best but my experience in this industry, however short it is, tells me that any “lease” program will turn out bad for you in the end. Very rarely hear or read actual success stories. Sometimes I wonder if they’re even true, or just more industry lies!Flat Earth Trucker, Sons Hero, mjd4277 and 1 other person Thank this. -

I’ve said it before once and I’ll say it again-those rates weren’t even feasible 10 years ago,let alone now!
Now if it was $4-$5 dollars a mile(whether the fuel surcharge is included or not) maybe-MAYBE you might break even!!
Anything less than that you’re better off letting the truck sit!!
Realistically I’d run for $6 dollars a mile to stay afloat!Flat Earth Trucker, snowlauncher and Lonesome Thank this. -
Lease purchase is generally not a good idea. And without knowing their fuel discount and what they charge for insurance and stuff it’s tough to say what he’ll be left with at roughly $1.60 a mile.
My last deal was a mileage contract plus surcharge. By itself the figure wasn’t the best. But when you factored in the fuel discount, tire and parts discounts, insurance discounts, and everything else it worked out pretty decent at the end of the year. I can say that 2024 was the best year of truck ownership I’ve had.Flat Earth Trucker, Lonesome, Rugerfan and 1 other person Thank this. -
I'm pretty sure that's a joke. Who'd proudly post that?
