I agree. JBH is a very good example of this. They advertise .42 a mile. But the miles are non exsistant.

Wow I drove for Munson for a short time before they were invaded by heartland.

It was my very first driving job, and I had a great trainer. I still remember the terminal parked right by the meat plant, I can still smell that in my sleep every once in a while lol.

I drive for Heartland, Florida regional. .38/mile. 1800 to 2000 per week. I'm home every weekend and sometimes in the middle of the week.
Some people this works for them. Others, its not enough money. Me, i'm looking.

What about their salaried positions? That looks like a pretty good deal...

There are some salary jobs out of different terminals. I know they have salary drivers out of Atlanta GA and Columbus OH and Carslile PA terminals.. I think they get 825 / week up to 2000 miles and paid for their miles if they go over. Not positive on that. You could call recruiting for more info on that.

Just noticed you are a student. You have to have 1 year experience to go with Heartland.

Slowpoke, what a coincidence,I just had lunch with an older gentleman that drives for heartland,I introduced this forum to him. He is checking it out right now. Also met a nice lady driver for schaeffer, she is also checking it out right now. I have to tell them that it can be addictive but what a good thing to be addicted to.You all have a safe weekend out there.

This is so true. I just found this forum yesterday and spent five hours on it reading a lot of the postings.
