    I am thinking of going into KLLM trucking school. I recently just got my permit and I talked to a recruiter they emailed me the information and the application but I did have some questions.

    What is the difference between KLLM and FFE? I am aware that they are sister companies but what is the difference what should I pick?

    Do they have driver facing cameras in the truck?

    Does anyone have experience when working for those companies?

    Also, what questions should I ask the recruiter because we are going to talk again soon?

    Here is the email they sent me below

    If you are a MS or LA resident, you can obtain your Class A Permit through KLLM. If you are an AL, AR, TN, TX or GA resident, you will need to obtain your permit hard copy and DOT physical before coming in.

    KLLM = Excellent Choice
    Someone that works at FFE told me most of their long runs are teams. FFE does have some solo runs, but most are teams. Don't hold me to that because I'm just posting what an ex-FFE driver told me. That's a good question for the recruiter at FFE.

    55 cpm is really good for a first year driver. I heard FFE does teams as well, and if that's true, I'd go KLLM.

    Can't speak for either but all I know is KLLM is a top team company, if you wanna stick with team driving, go to KLLM, get your team driver squared away after 6 months and if you get along move to KLLM expedited and start making either 72-77cpm or 82-88cpm

    If you go to a private school does KLLM require a 160 hour course like many companies do?
    They did when I was starting out. KLLM was one of three companies I had to choose from back in 2010. KLLM, Werner and Swift.
    KLLM was not chosen because they were mainly teams, and I wanted to be solo. I got a bad feeling from the Werner recruiter so I went with Swift.
    They all required a 160 hour course.
    That schedule does not seem like the standards are as high now, or they run you ragged during that 2-3 week period.
    It sounds like a fast track course where they give little thought to quality, or sleep.

    Better have some cash saved up before you start the process since you will only be paid $125 after 4 weeks are completed and you are in orientation, and they really don't pay all expenses during that 4 weeks. It only says they pay for travel and lodging. No mention of meals, but there might be a kind of lunch thrown in and maybe the standard motel breakfast stuff if it is served early enough to grab a bite. Not enough to really live on if you want to stay healthy and alert.
    The additional $100 with the first paycheck is basically a moot point.
