wats up hindsy? yea you go to the mti training for 3ks then the next week is two days of orientation. you will do your drug test on monday then tuesday you will sign all of your paper work. training is minimum of 5wks, my trainers last trainee stayed with him for 11wks. i only know what is up with MILLIS TRANSFER, don't know alot about roehl, but everything i have heard about MILLIS is true, all they ask is for you to get your job done, get it done safely, and after that they don't bother you...

wats up lewie? greg is pretty good at wat he does and is a very cool dude, but the real world for ME was when i stepped into my trainers truck. those 5wks or how ever many will either make you or break you. i learned m.ore in 3wks with my trainer than 8wks at sage/isothermal back in 08 and 3wks at mti in cartersville back in march. those weeks with my trainer has really been an eye opener. good luck and keep on pushing man. i am doing the same, just keep on pushing.

I am going to Schneider the end of this month, OldNew. I went to school myself (nothing about being on a Schneider list) and contacted SNI while in school. It was a normal CDL mill here in TN. Scheinder gave me no problem about my school. -
Finished up MTI last Friday. Had a blast learning with everyone. Early on in the week we took a trip up to black river falls. Ran through the terminal there and got a load back to Atl out of a paper mill. Let me tell you that truck gets crowded with 7 dudes in there for 40+ hours. We pulled off every 3 hours or so to switch seats and grab a smoke. I personally still feel like I need loads of help getting the truck lined up so I'm not fighting it the whole time I'm backing. Greg says it will just come with time and he feels confidant in everyone's ability. But being the perfectionist that I am, I can't help but get a little peeved when I can't get it the first time. All and all kinda glad to be done with MTI so we can get out with our trainers and earn a paycheck. That and I'm sure there is still volumes to absorb before I can even think about getting into my own truck.
One thing is for certain in our three weeks at the terminal in cartersville and while up in Wisconsin. I have yet to find a driver that spoke ill of Millis. Sure there were some that were down for maintenance and so forth but over all the morale seemed high and the equipment seems in solid working order.
Wish me well while out with my trainer over the next few week hopefully he / she can take the fundamentals learned at MTI with Greg and hone them abit.Hitman Thanks this. -
Congrats Lewie - keep us posted on how it goes with the trainer. I was set for May 17th but may have to move it back to June 7th and to the Ohio Training location.
