Schneider has a CPP program in which you link your fuel card to them and they say you will get greater discounts on fuel and service. The thing is, that it is free and you do have to Docusign an agreement for the fuel card company to share your usage information. My concern is can they really save me more money than Comdata alone? What would be their benefit if there is no monetary incentive? Heard many times there is nothing for free.
Has anyone heard of the program and is there a catch? I'm very skittish about signing anything else.
Thanks,
Ed

Outside of my knowledge base, but I would imagine that there could be sone to significant savings. Schneider generally pays 15-50 cents per gallon less than the cash price.

May get a better discount, they gain by the buying increase.

I was going to respond to the dm but I think others would want to know, it is close to the lacapp program at land state, there is a good amount of savings that can be had but most of it is tied to TA and petro. I “inherited” a couple trucks under the cpp program and they were under the cost plus option, so it was an average of 40¢ savings off of each gallon. The fuel card doesn’t matter, it is tied to the account number for fuel so it just shows up on the bill as a discount.

When I had my own truck I opened a bunch of fuel cards to see who has the best discount and they were it for me.
