Recommendation for mastering flatbed/RGN load securement

I don't know of any school that offers load securement training of the kind you're looking for. A possible alternative would be just keeping your eyes open and watch how other drivers secure their loads. That's not always fool-proof but it might be a good place to start.
Common sense will take you a long ways. As a rule, a couple of extra chains and binders never hurt anything.
Take your time, think about what you're doing.

Once you know what your straps/chains are rated for, it's just a math problem of I need "x" amount of straps/chains to cover the length/weight of "y" freight.. and to also keep it from moving up/down and side to side ..different freight may or may not have specific tie-down points... doing heavy equipment id imagine most of that is going to have specific places to pull chains from

 

This guy on YouTube showed how he chained oversize load and even his mistakes or his first time drive some big machinery and not knowing how drive it. You would have to look at his older videos because he doesn’t drive truck anymore.

 

That post brings up another thought. Learning to operate the machinery well enough to load and unload it can be important. Lots of time there's nobody around to do it for you.
