DT, I'm at this moment going to W/S, I'm a bit concerned about the single acct. situation on the other one. Just my HO

 

Same here TD plus the other you still need to fork over something like 2000-2500 bucks for OTR training. I like the fact I can hit the road running with W/S in the next 5 weeks or so.

 

Aman, I just got a post card from Stevens... Did you get one from them too? I'm not going over there, I don't think they think much of their drivers till the drivers have proved themselves.. Just MOHO but it is what it is. Keep us informed as to what happens along the way, I'll be mid July before I get up to Misoula but in between I have to convince the stork to drop the baby off in the last week of school... If not I might stick around for that... We will see. TD.

 

Hey guys. I will be taking CDL classes in early July and have contacted WS about a job when I get my CDL. I left a message for Sandy on Friday. I am waiting to hear back from her. I have following this thread for some time and am very impressed with them so far. I too like the idea of the 10 day training and then getting on my own. Hope to be out there on the road with you all in late August or early Sept.

DM, that is great to hear it will be great to meet you and TD and all the other guys on here from W/S. I think they are the smart choice.

 

Best of luck to both of you! I talked to Sandy and Roxy a couple of times but I'm just not close enough to the Myrtle MS terminal for WS to take me on. If all continues to go well, I'll start with Swift at the Millington Academy May 31. Watkins Shepard will remain high on my list as a carrier to consider if I chose to leave Swift after I have some miles under my feet. Again, good luck. You have a tremendous support group here in the WS sub-forum!

 

DM, Sandy is my recruiter as well, That sounds just like my plans, good deal, I'm excited as well to meet all of you new W/S Drivers and to keep in touch with you guys, We will let disneytrucker go thru the field so he can find all of the issues and land mines... Thanks ONGB, I think W/S is the best choice for my family and I at this point. I live in the Phoenix area and plan on moving to Salt Lake soon and they have terminals in both cities so it is a good opportunity for us. Good luck to you as well. Oh and Roxy is my recruiter.

 

Any drivers in Phoenix tonight? Im at the pilot bored.. just walked 2 miles to watch a movie lol.
