I went to work for Mike Pina I needed money really bad. This company called me up need me to drive to Calif.
After meeting up with him the first time the red Flags should have went off.
The truck was a Day Cab that look ok but no sleeper. The mechanical part I look for is brakes the other I can deal with.
Any way I was telling my self no at the time but I need a job fast or I would not loose my house.
My girl friend at the time was with me and she was no dam help.
So the same day after talking to him I drived to Calif running over the pass 58 Just out side of Salem to Eastern Oregon. The pass is over 8,000 Feet.
I soon found out there was no heat and colder then hell.
After making it over the pass to the truck stop it was 18deg out and the truck had no heat . No place to sleep. I ended up drinking coffe in the truck stop.
The crappey part was Mike the owner did not pay for hotels like you have to do if you have no sleeper. So with no money and needing it I sleeped in
the truck.
After working for the company and dealing with brake downs working for 7 weeks and getting a run around he never paid me but 900 bucks well I was in Calif I made 7 runs even to Phonix AZ .
After telling him to blow me .. I went home to loose my house my truck and every thing I own.
Just 2 days a go I had a interview with a company . To find out it was Mike Pina mom and dad who own a company. The guy looks half dead .. I wanted to say some thing but I felt if I got pissed off they may charge me with some bs #### for giving a old man a hart attack.
Dont work for any company of Mike Pina or Dorthey , Dan Pina. They change the company around so much its crazy you never know what company they may go with .

Maybe you need to look at more than just the brakes on the mechanical part of the inspection...
-
Well I did look at the mechanical port of it , every thing was working at the time. The bad part of it was the truck was not warmed up to know if the heat was working it was a thermastat that was shot. Im a Diesel Mechanic by trade.
There is more then just this that I can say but dont wish to -
Wllamette Pass on US 58 is 5100 ft.. Nothing close to 8000 ft..
-
If you find an 8000 ft pass in Oregon then your GPS sold you out.
