Same here, you mail something from Dayton, WA. to Waitsburg, WA. It goes 3hours away to Spokane, then comes back. Departure and destination.... 7 miles apart, makes no sense to me, but THEY say it's more efficient this way.

What I would recommend would be going to a sporting goods place that will let you take them outside the door and try to see if they work for the desired distance and target. I have couple pairs and they have different jobs the stronger ones have a smaller field of view than the weaker ones. The weaker ones get you in the neighborhood, the stronger ones get you in the driveway.
