I'd speak to a pastor or Christian counselor before I decided family/psychological questions by a poll. You & wife have responsibility for a baby. Your & her desires are secondary now.
Sons Hero Thanks this. -
Am I missing something? You are happy on the road with your dog. Get a road job that allows the dog and go. Whats the problem?
I was in the army when my son was born (he was born at Martin Army hospital Ft Benning GA. I was gone over 50% of the time (between TDYs to various ranger camps, FTXs, and REFORGER) I barely saw my wife and son for the first 3 years of his life.
Driving since 1984. Not all of it on the road, but the first few years when I started I was lucky to get home 3 days a month.
We have been married over 50 years now. Grandson is 19.
There is nothing to feel bad about. Go do what you need to do. It will work out 1 way or the other...Numb Thanks this. -

That kid is going to need a father, at least after one yr .
Time flies and the child will be older real soon and it'll be too late to make it up. Most kids have problems when there's no father around. -

Same. Maybe show lines don't have the same drive or energy as a working line but they still need to exercise.
Just because they'll happily lay around all day with their guardians doesn't mean it's good for their health.
Most Shepherds will follow their owners right off a cliff but it does not mean it's in their best interest to do so.
