Are there any that allow you to take say 3-4 weeks off if you work for 6 months straight? I like to run hard as #### and then take a breather. I have a new found love for another country that I’d like to visit more often quarterly or atleast every 6 months. But I could never with 2 weeks vacation a year. I was thinking about just doing megas for short spurts then putting in my leave and either come back or go with a new one. I just want to know if this is possible to negotiate with a company?

Work for a temp service. This way you work when you want to.
Trillium Staffing - cdl-drivers Jobs
Are you a safe and professional driver? Trillium partners with some of the nation's leading private fleets, third party logistics companies, for hire carriers, and LTL carriers to locate reliable CDL …TripleSix, nextgentrucker, Numb and 1 other person Thank this. -
Yes, that counts as experience. You might work for several different companies with a temp service, but the temp service is your employer, so you're not job hopping.
On a future job application, you only list the temp service; not the companies you were farmed out to.Last edited: Jul 5, 2025

Yes, Holland Enterprises will allow you to bank your time off, up to 21 weeks. You'll then receive 21 days off, not to include the day you come home or the day you go back out..nextgentrucker and Chinatown Thank this.

How to Become a Bus or Truck Driver in Japan as a Foreign Worker
Mar 3, 2025 · This change allows qualified foreign nationals to work in passenger and freight transportation, including roles as bus drivers, truck drivers, and delivery driversTruckin223 and nextgentrucker Thank this. -
Call whichever companies you are interested in and ask if they offer part time employment. Every OTR or Local company that I have worked for over the years has had part time drivers. Halvor Lines for instance only requires part time employees to take one run every 3 months, but they can run as hard as they want...you will have no benefits however.Chinatown Thanks this.
