Duo, i left USX 15 months ago after they stole/witheld 120.00 lumper fee out of my check. I submitted the receipt and two months later they wanted it again. When i couldnt find it they kept deducted it from my weekly without telling me. I turned in my truck five days later. Got a p&d job the next week. Home nights/weekendd and making twice the money.

This is still true I worked on the ealmart dedicated account in 2012 fast forward to today's year of 2025 and decided to go back I have a misdemeanor charge from when I was younger that occurred in 2008 and was resolved in 2009 they hired me on no problem the first time and denied me the second after driving myself 5 hours to orientation attending said orientation for 3 days then driving myself back 5 hours. I was held in limbo for an entire week while they waited on HR to approve my paperwork only to be told 1 week and 2 days later that I had been disqualified to to my criminal background.....but it wasn't an issue in 2012 but now in 2025 it's an issue? I was told I would not receive my orientation pay as well as I would not be reimbursed for my gas. I have 14 years experience driving with no accidents and a clean driving record. As far as not getting on with them again....it is what it is I have the experience finding another driving job won't be hard, but as far as not being paid for an orientation I attended for 3 days and spent over 100 dollars in gas to get to and from it now that had me pretty hot I'm not gonna lie. Felt like it was a really dirty and pretty scam like thing for them to be doing. They don't tell you this before you come as I'm sure if they said "hey FYI if you don't get hired for any reason big or small we won't pay you for orientation or anything for that matter" then they wouldn't have any drivers attending the orientation to begin with. Lunch was pizza 3 days in a row dinner is not provided. Hotel room is covered. I had no reason to think I wouldn't be hired I had no reason to not be hired felt like a little payback from when I quit the job in 2012 if you ask me. There were a few rehires in my orientation and 2 out of the 3 weren't hired the one that was was going otr so I guess they figured he didn't really matter anyway might as well get some money out of him while they can. I will never encourage anyone to go with us xpress. Not because they aren't a decent company but simply because they seem to have some really shady practices. I almost forgot to mention this as well, say you get hired on and a few years down the road you've accrued a decent amount of vacation time and decide to take 10 days off with the family. Well they will come confiscate your truck reassign it to another driver and you'll have to go to one of the many terminals to be assigned another truck when you come back so no matter if you've been a hard charger company man and doing what your supposed to, that truck you've got all set up to make your life on the road easier and more pleasant will be taken away just like that. It just doesn't make sense to me. Drivers just don't seen to matter to them anymore yet they constantly complain about being short drivers and understaffed to your face while your attending orientation. Seems like they need a big revamp and some new management. ‍

You could probably copy and paste these type of experiences under the headings "Any Mega Trucking co."

You know that USXpress is now owned by Knight/Swift Holdings.
