I’ve been hearing it ever since I was a baby trucker. I’ve been to the city a time or two, but I guess I just never found myself in that predicament.

 

Dad bought a 72 that had the 4 speed manual in Kemmerer Wy in 73 — I would give whatever is left of my right testicle to have it today

 

I guess he figured if he talked loud it was more believable. I remember why I’m not bar people

Funny enough thought I found a new spot in Geneseo the other day only fer Tug to say
"Yeah, that Sweet Peas spot is pretty legit"... lol

Shop drinking is much more fun and the conversation and singing is much livelier

Happened to me as well years ago. Heading back up north for my 2 week shift. 2 am, gassed up my truck and got ready for the last 4 hour stretch of the trip. Barely made it 5 minutes out of town and a cop lights me up. Cop comes up to my window with his gun ready. I figured something was off. Turns out someone driving an identical truck robbed a couple places in the area a couple hours earlier. Once he confirmed my story I was good to go. Just glad I'm not one of those loudmouth ACAB people, I'd have definitely been tased or shot that night lol.
