The problem I see is that I was probably about the smartest I’ll ever be when I was 21 and just keep getting a little dumber every year— take for instance at 62 years old making fun of a 30 year old stud connector and challenging him to a race climbing a 40’ column with a fully loaded tool belt— and winning the race cause he never has had to climb a 40’ column — and then having to sit in your pickup and cry for an hour— it’s dumb, but I’m the winner

That actually happened to one of the ex members here. Another forum member posted pics of the front of his house. That situation got ugly.

 

Went for a ride with the club, and headed to my favorite watering hole. Saw a biker down. Pulled in front and picked a street glide back up. Biker was 71, at a light waiting for a right turn. Car behind him him hit him and he went down.

 

The hardest part of working accidents is getting the injured person to lie still and concentrate on breathing. This guy is trying to talk to me while breathing is a chore. Dude, shut up and breathe.

 

That's the main reason I avoid riding in the cities. That and I hate stop and go on a bike. I just want to get up into 6th and drift along with nobody near me. I won't even ride in groups with others now either.
