I had to replace my wheel seals on my truck( disk brakes if that helps) recently what my question is even after filling the reservoir with hub oil it still disappears after a while. So is if that’s normal for that to happen for a bit after replacement being since there is no leakage anywhere(everything is dry asf)

Yes, it's normal. It takes a few times of topping off until it finally hits the right volume. It's best to top them off when cold during a pretrip.

Yes, it’s settling into the center of the hub, between the bearings. That’s why some Mechanics will pre fill the hub before installing the outer bearing. Either way, Takes a while to work through the outer bearing.

After you refill the hub, the oil does work its way through and around the Water Pump bearings and can temporarily lower the level as it fills all the cavities inside the hub assembly and coats the HA590058 bearings thoroughly, especially if you didn’t pre-lube them heavily during assembly. But once that initial soaking happens, the level should stabilize. If it keeps dropping over time and you’re 100% sure there’s no external leak around the seals, calipers, or backing plates, it might be slowly migrating into the axle tube or venting internally. It’s worth double-checking the fill procedure in your service manual and confirming the bearings were installed with the correct preload so oil isn’t wicking where it shouldn’t.
