Well cov looks like you all made a good move. Conway cut ties with Conway freight this week giving up 119 dedicated team runs. They said conway truckload was to expensive!! I dont get this honestly! We are all one company, but the freight side wants truckload side to lower rates...

Ill keep you up to date whats going on. So far us solos havent been hurt... so keep your fingers crossed for me!!

I dont get that either. We have been to several Conway terminals and it does seem like they are a different company than CFI (ok, I still call them that). That really sucks for the teams.

Maybe that is why we can't get a load back out of charlotte. Conway is being too cheap.

I will keep you in my prayers that it doesn't hurt you financially.

I just put in an app at Landspan and was wondering how well you like them? I'm hiring on as a solo and was also wondering how solos are doing there. And most important... Do they treat you like a human being?

And I'm from Missouri too.

    Hi Queenrocks and welcome.

I like landspan enough. They aren't the best company but they are far far from being the worst. Sometimes we sit but then we run too.. so it balances itself out. I would like to run more but I take what we can get.

Yeah, they treat you like humans. The most important thing to me is, I am not treated as a number. Yes, they will ask you your truck number but you can talk to any DM when you call and they are always very helpful.

I can't answer for solo's but we do know a few and so I will ask them. I have heard the rumor that we will be going paperless but don't know when or if its true.

And what part of Missouri.... and I guess I started a trend.. LOL

    queenrocks77 Thanks this.

Thanks for the info. I'm just tired of doing 5 or 6 loads a week that are each less than 50 miles. My company fired all of the local drivers and went mostly team and lease, so us company drivers get stuck doing all of the local work (I could go on but I won't).
I live in West Plains. I'm sure you've heard of it. It's quite the booming metropolis!

When we worked for Landspan, most of the solo drivers were very unhappy. I don't know if their freight has picked up but we sat for days at the end of each load as a team. Teams that were with them for years were sitting also so it wasn't just us. From our experience with Landspan, I wouldn't recommend them for a solo or a team.:biggrin_2557:

sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with Landspan Trixie. We aren't getting the best of miles but not motivated to look at other companies because they are the same, IMHO.

Did you start with Interstate and if so, how is that going?

We are on our way to San Leandro, will be cruising on I-80 at 64 mph so wave Hi before you blow past us :D :D

Hi Covenantbiker. Interstate is going OK I guess. They replaced their qualcomm with Driver Tech. It is a nightmare. We will be in Phoenix & it shows us in Missouri. Alot of multiple stops. But like u said, its no better anywhere else. We are sitting in Olive Branch, Ms. right now waiting on dispatch. Our truck only goes 63 so we cant blow past anyone and we are not allowed to take the downgrades any faster than that. It will take some getting used to. Be safe & hope U get plenty of miles.:biggrin_25524:
Have U ever tried Conway in Joplin??

Sorry it has taken so long to reply to this.

The last truck we had at IDC had Driver Tech and luckily we didn't have any problems with it. That sucks that you can't go faster than 63 on a downgrade.

I believe in the first 2 pages, I explained about Conway. We are happy for the most part here. Trucking to us is a Love/Hate relationship. We don't want to do this for the rest of our lives but really can't think of anything else to do. We would like local work but until we find another nest, it would be pointless to look. We are thankful for having a job, don't get us wrong.

We are in Hagerstown, MD at the moment at AC&T T/S across from the Pilot. The food here is alot better, IMHO.. We will be heading out to Salt Lake.

Just got back from being reunited with my son. I haven't seen him in over 15 years and it was so good to see him. He is now in the Navy Boot Camp up in Illinois. So I am especially glad I got to see him before he left.

Have fun and keep it safe/legal
