Strange headline. What bridge strike hasn’t resulted in damage to the bridge?
Opus, hope not dumb twucker and wulfman75 Thank this. -
What kind of overheight load could some foreign job from the land of sand and camel races have possibly been hauling that would have been tall and solid enough to hit a freakin’ insterstate overpass? Like who allowed that to happen in the first place? Those guys don’t typically pull anything besides dry van or reefer.
some of those are a little low though especially back east. Anything less than 15 ft should be a no-no on an interstate route201, JForce28, TheLoadOut and 1 other person Thank this. -
The driver, Mokhtar Mohammadi, 32, of Houston, Texas, was not injured but was ticketed for operating an over-height vehicle, Duffy said.
TheLoadOut and Trucker61016 Thank this. -
That's some serious damage. I'd like to see what he was hauling to do that.Tb0n3 and hope not dumb twucker Thank this.

JForce28, TheLoadOut, Walk Among Us and 3 others Thank this.

I’m not sure but from the photo it looks like he may have been hauling an RV camper on top of a trailer. Probably didn’t check its height after it got loaded.
Chinatown Thanks this. -
I don't see a height sign in any of the pictures.

Best to assume that the Thruway is 13'6" dead. They don't give much extra clearance on most of those bridges. I had a scrap metal hauler hit a bridge next to me and throw some bolts through my windshield years ago.mjd4277 Thanks this.

Mohammadi lol
Opus, JB7 and TheLoadOut Thank this.
