Finally bit the bullet and told them to take out my passenger seat. An e-bike is probably better than a motorcycle for my health and I can get plenty of places and turn off the assist if I really want to get extra exercise.

So much freaking room by the way.

I've learned a valuable lesson. Don't follow Google's bike directions. It wanted me to take a left through a vine covered chain link fence. When I decided to take a different route it saved me 2 miles.
Saved $5 over the base NY Thruway meal by riding to Kingston from the Ulster rest area.Studebaker Hawk and cuzzin it Thank this. -
You are wise to take advantage of those opportunities.
Many times I would park at a truck stop that was near a small town with a mom and pop family restaurant, or some specialty something like a BBQ joint. Ride the short distance, then spend another hour or so touring the town, back to the truck stop, fuel, take a shower.
I found the town I now live in that way. You see everything in a town when you are on a bicycle. Good, Bad and the Ugly. -
I’ve not ridden near the miles this year as I did last year. Lack of discipline.
However, I have started the building of my dream bike, which will be my final bike. I can’t believe I have the thing.
And, because I can’t leave well enough alone, I had to get after the paint with a pad and glaze.

And it'll never look like that again. It's a gravel bike.
This ebike has been fantastic for getting out of the truck to get food and exercise. Rode to Central Park from Queens last night and caught my first flat. Luckily it was after the Queensborough bridge crossing. I got the full NYC experience when I ran over a giant rat in the park.cuzzin it Thanks this. -
Ya never forget hitting your first rat

My new job is next door to bike warehouse....

Studebaker Hawk and Tb0n3 Thank this. -
During one of many rides in NYC, about 10 years ago. From the Promenade along the BQE. Later rode across the Brooklyn Bridge.

I have a full RideWrap kit. I do have the bike together and listening to gravel bounce off the downtube wasn’t enjoyable. I’ll get it pulled apart and the parts of the wrap I want to use applied to the impact areas.
Without my accessories and pedals, it came in at 19.3lbs.
Long FLD, D.Tibbitt, Tb0n3 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Making me jealous. I haven’t ridden nearly as much as I would like to thanks to some crap I’m dealing with.

I just noticed the Lauf forks. I'm surprised they're not making it heavy with how big they look. Pretty comfortable?
I finally found a bike to buy that isn't a folder. Got a Marin Gestalt 2. 2x10. I cant really justify the 1x drive train. We've got lots of steep hills but I don't want to be speed limited either.
She's waiting for tomorrow at the shop getting spd pedals on.
