For the next few months, everyone who comes here looking for advice on buying their own truck, should be directed to that story. That's all the advice they need.

I heard about this. I have also heard information that several larger carriers are stressed and may not make it through 2025. This comes down to a capacity v need dynamic. Right now, the capacity is larger than the need. Right now and for the next 18 or so months, I join with @Grumppy and advise caution if you are an OO or an OO wannabe!

    60 days severance pay?

If true, that's a stand up move there

It goes to show that even some of the more established carriers aren’t immune to the freight recession. Look at what happened to Yellow and Davis

It is mind boggling to me that capacity keeps increasing and hedge funds keep dumping money into the industry despite all metrics pointing to loss of capital.

I would expect a lot more carriers in the 100-500 range to fold in the next year. They're big enough to see the writing on the wall and financially literate enough to understand it.

The question is will they do it the right way like Carroll Fulmer or the poop way like Arrow?

If you read the article that came out it states that Carrol Fulmer attributes its financial woes to a surge in lawsuits as well as the freight recession. Why are they getting all the lawsuits do they hire bad drivers that cause accidents? Let’s not just say oh the rates are bad and they are closing down clearly there are other major factors.
