I had an 02 model just like yours I bought new. In January 24, with 190K, #3 cam bushing decided to work its way back and got past the oil hole and I lost all but 5# of oil pressure. I wanted to repair it but I lost the argument with the missus and sold it (mistake) to my neighbor who owns a boat shop. He fixed it. I made another mistake by buying a new 2023 Ram 1500 4wd. In hind sight I should have kept the truck and got rid of..............well, you know. I just never cared for this new crap they put in a truck. If you rebuild it, they make better aftermarket cam bushings than GM did..

I was told one time by a feller if he calls her “Mama” or his “Ol Lady” be careful cause he’ll kill for her.

He enjoys converting riding lawn mowers to custom builds. Where most of us are mentally in high gear, he’s running in second gear but a great person….

My wife is 9 years older than I am, one of the first things she ever told me was to never refer to her as my old lady lol….

Thx my good man, yeah been digging around and seems the cam bushings were a weak spot in these engines. I’ll definitely be boosting up the wear parts on this thing. I only wanna do this one time and try to get another 250k out of ‘er -
3rd pic down (Case and JD) reminds me. It looks like an "A" or "B" John Deere. Best friend in Hi schools' dad was field boss of a large haying op north of West Point, MS. The old "Payne Field " WWII training field. Several hundred acres of natchel Johnson grass on black prairie land.
Only obstructions were the few shade trees near the well house where we parked and fueled the tractors. Cut, baled, and warehoused it in town.
Regular hands that cut, raked, baled, and hauled did not want to work on Saturdays. So his dad paid him and me $10.00 to cut all day on Sat.
Get there by 8, check, fuel, and grease. Dry enough to cut. Looked like a continuous waterfall with those 2 John "A's" pitty patting in 3rd gear across that large level growth. Knee to waist high and seldom clogged up. Stop at 12 to eat lunch we brought, trip to an outhouse on site, back on the JD's. Run till near 4 and have used about a tank of fuel. Stow everything and leave. Mon evening be a lot to rake and bale rest of week. -
‘I’ve called mine Momma and old lady. It ain’t the lady part of old lady she has a problem with. There’s nothing disrespectful about it unless she has asked you not to do it. An cooter is right on the money. Wanna end up at the train station, mess with some ol’ boy’s old lady.
