No sweat 94nole i am curious as too the answer as well. Shaw must not be too bad if you are willing to try them again. As for me they are a better fit with my long term goals than I feel schneider is at this time 1. I want to run reefers. 2. I want my wife to be able to take my wife with me as soon as I can Schnieder makes you wait 6 months. 3. Schneider is wanting me to run regional, and the miles i was quoted by recruiting are lower than i had hoped for.

May I ask how many miles WSE said to expect per week?

    Thanks.

I was told that they were only averageing 2100 miles a week up until a couple months ago, but that miles were picking back up now and they were averaging 2800 a week, he also said that he has talked to several drivers that have been getting 3100+ a week.

Well week 7 is over, spent the majority of the week perfecting our backing skills. I am confident that I will not have a problem with the test next week. I have the pre trip down pat, I am comfortable with all of the maneuvers straight line is a piece of cake the offsets i can usually do with no pullups, parallel i can do with no more than one pullup, and the alley dock I have been getting in with no pull ups most of the time. And I should have no problem with the road portion either. So once I get past next week the real adventure will begin.:biggrin_2556::biggrin_2557::biggrin_25523:

No one there ever lied to me once about anything. I was pretty disappointed that they would make me go back through the training but it is what it is.

The pay isn't great...but according to the vets out there, it's not too great anywhere. Got to get the seat time in and then I can pursue other avenues.

what a day today was, we drove around the course that we will be doing the road test on. OMG if it would have been the test I was the only one who would have passed. Both of the others hit curbs, one of them hit two of them, he also almost killed it going around a corner in to high of a gear then he lost it downshifting coming to a stop and kicked into neutral and just coasted to a stop three times. I swear he has absolutley no business being in a truck. I am glad that I don't have to ride with him anymore. Anyway some backing practice tommorrow and then I am off wednesday then I test thursday i will post my results then.

Alright y'all I have my CDL now. the test went better than I had hoped for, I got a 92 on the pre trip did the backing without losing any points, and the road test was perfect as well no points off. Now I have to decide who to go with, I have three companies that want me to start orientation the week of the 24th. Then when I got home this afternoon I got a call from A friend of my neighbors about a job driving for an owner operator out of Memphis. I am supposed to talk to him Saturday and find out all the particulars. The guy that called me used to drive for him and said that it is a pretty good gig but I will have to check it out and see.

WELL CRAP! when things go bad they all go bad at once. I have been talking to WSE now for about a month and everything was supposed to be a go for me to go to orientation on the 24th and today I find out that my application was not accepted, Also talked to the OO that was needing a driver and that does not sound like it will work out either. Talked to KLLM and I have to gather a bunch of info for them and then see what happens, Scneider still might be a option, guess I am back to researching and putting in aps. Oh well I am not about to give up yet by any means.
