Wife of a potential truck driver. Scared as ever, as this is a road we would have never thought of before.
All the best,

Hello Baack, Oldnewbiegonnabe and Kickin Chicken:
Thank you for the warm welcome. My husband is unable to locate any work within the automotive industry since last Feb. He has sent out over 800 resumes. He did have an interview with Kia Motors (in NY<NY) but was told he was way over qualified for the job. Further, they couldn't believe what he was earning at Ford......so they asked him to bring his W'2 with him to interview. (unreal we thought) My husband is just "sick of how corporate America is treating potential employees". Additionally, he has a bad taste in his mouth regarding how Ford is laying off older workers and hiring newbie's in 20's for 1/3 the rate. You can clearly see this in the company's SEC filings if they mention "restructuring". And Ford isn't the only corporation following this venue. As for myself, I have 9 years in the stock market; you can tell exactly how these companies are showing profit, it is pure "cost cutting to extreme". Many of these companies will pay the price for all the new green kids. When you see 50 percent or more revenue coming from "restructuring", the company is not growing. Additionally, people think "Goldman Sacks" was pulled in front of Senate for the CDO'S from housing bait and switch between banks and brokers. Actually, the reason the White House went after Goldman is they wrote and SOLD the BONDS for Greece. Meanwhile selling them to investors as AAA ratings and are now JUNK (they knew they would be lemons). Of which could have a major impact on the global economy, as more foreign nationals did the same with other broker houses.
On a seperate subject, I'll try and figure out how to acknowledge each of you as I'm not sure you all are getting my message back. Not use to forum boards and how to move around them. Very familiar with stock charts and financial data.
All the best,
