Running out of clock at Blues city getting loaded. Then pulling forward to finish out your 10. Then hustle up to La Crosse. Drop and hook and off you go again.

My regular run for basically 2 yrs straight of Opie running me “otr” and still getting me home every weekend and having 3400+ miles. Never forget calling him telling him I needed start being home every weekend so I need to switch to Midwest regional…….his exact words were “if you do that your either gonna quit in a month or kill 1 of my co workers in a month so stick with me let me see if I can make it happen with me”. And the magician always made it work even when I’d be wondering mid week how the hell he getting me home by Fri from here lol

I was in line to pay for something at a truck stop about dinner time one night and this woman was in the next line with a six pack of White Claw. I asked her about it as I hadn't tried it yet and she said "it works".

Well that stuff does have something like 8% abv so it's got more alcohol in it than most of the beer that I drink. But the girl that lives with me bought some (for science) back when I was hauling so much of it and neither of us liked it even a little bit. I'll stick with drinking Guinness, Shiner, and whatever craft beer grabs my attention.Friend and Still undecided Thank this.

I didn't go to Blues City too often. It was usually Midwest Warehouse. Wish it had been Blues City so I could've just parked there instead of driving down to Olive Branch.

There are also many ex cfi trucks wearing the Heartland Express logo......it's only a matter of time before they slap their name on all the trucks...Last edited: Aug 8, 2025

Looking through my Facebook memories and coincidentally enough, Midwest Warehouse was where I was on this day in 2019.
Friend, MIT and Trucker61016 Thank this. -
Had to switch trucks again. Back to the KW. I always check out the messages the previous driver and dispatch had on the qcom. Whoever had this truck had Pat. Almost brought tears to my eyes to see a normal dispatch driver relationship. Haven't seen that since Marco left. Pat definitely respects his drivers and treats them like human beings.
Friend, Knucklehead, Still undecided and 1 other person Thank this. -
You obviously didn't get my truck lol. Turned that in last Friday and moved on.

I liked Olive Branch. It was closer than the places I used to stay to avoid staying in Memphis and they had the showers, washers etc that were appreciated.Friend, MIT, Knucklehead and 1 other person Thank this.
