I say bring them on and the sooner the better. They will be much safer than all these untrained steering wheel holders that we have to deal with on our highways now.

absolutely sickening. Anybody who celebrates this kind of thing is like a turkey getting excited for Christmas.

They're starting to run here in Texas overnight, Dallas to Houston and back. I haven't encountered one yet, hopefully they don't become possessed/hacked, could get ugly... :eek:I'm not sure how their insurance works but we'll see how long they last.

Insurance claims are filed every other day in the transportation field, fam. These machines are trained on datasets of over a million safe drivers. If people manage to die during the trial runs, they're not gonna remove all AVs from the roadways. Insurance companies will pay out, the government will probably put stricter laws in place and autonomous trucks will continue to operate like nothing happened. The coming wave is inevitable frfr

You may be right, time will tell.. Hopefully the insurance companies that underwrite their policies go belly up.. Werner go hit hard for a driver just doing his job.. autonomous fatal accidents aren't going to sit well with most folks..I just don't think the world is ready for autonomous trucks. Time will surely tell the truth though and I certainly could be wrong.. just wondering what 3.5 million voters are going to do with their time after they're unemployed.. not a good scenario..

Not a good scenario at all. Business is just business. They've been testing these vehicles on our roadways since 2016. Automation is bound to upend several Americans' livelihood.

I wonder how well these Autonomous trucks are going to work when it snows? Last year it was a bad winter so I'd like to see how well they do with minus 20 and black ice on the roads.
