Please don't tempt them. EOBR will b the end of ur wealth here. Once they start that crap I'm gone. There is no way to make any miles with one especially when ur sitting at a produce house.

I agree on the produce but have done very well with them even gained miles at times, just have to plan loads better plus DOT doesn't give you as hard a time with them.

Was that solo or team? Teams do alright with them while it can be death to the solo driver. The loads certainly would have to have more time planned in them. EOBRs slow the entire freight industry down and makes it less profitable for EVERYONE... from shipper to consumer.

used them as team and solo, most of the planning needs to come from opperations butt it can be done. another plus is that you can use them against the shippers and recievers to get them moving faster. i guess its up to your own prefference but the industrie is headed in that direction, just look at all the companies running them now.

I am totally against on board recorders and electronic logs any time you hit construction or any other slow down you are losing time and money.I do agree however that the industry is heading in this direction would imagine within ten years all trucks will have them.I also got a crash course today on CSA 2010 when I went through my terminal.I love trucking have been around it all my life but after hearing what I heard today wonder if there is a future for guys like me,I urge everyone to learn as much as you can about this new system and do everything in your power to run safely and defensivly.
