    I know someone that, elk hunts with a .300 win mag. In territory that that I carry my .308 marlin, that .300 is overkill for the area.

    The .300 is a true WTF cannon. Mine's an A Bolt II. It's really light. I don't really care for light weapons either. It kicks like nineteen(19) mofo's.

    I don't know for sure what his reasoning is, mostly because the guy can shoot and hit where he's aiming.

    Any weapon. The Glocks aren't that heavy. The .223's and the AR-10, all the magnums are heavy. The .38 snubby isn't. But it's for special occasions.
