WY/CO, $121k last year, on track for $130k this year only averaging 57 hours a week and home daily. The cryo guys who are home daily around me are only paid around $30/hr.

Smart idea. Especially for single guys, stack that cash. Its just not functional for being involved with family.

If any of you guys are looking for a change and like to stay on the road
Game creek video is hiring drivers to pull production trailers from event to event.
Nascar to World series to college and NFL football. Hotel every night and paid whether you drive or not. Would need to start and prove ourself valuable but good way to see events for free and to network with others in the business for future opportunities.

    A few more cryo/midwest questions:

After exhaustively reading all of this thread (skimming, but still...) would I be right in saying that I should steer clear of Messer, Genox, and Matheson?

Which cryo companies would be considered "the top?" Airgas? Air Products? Others?

Which cryo companies are well established, stable, and keep on drivers for long time?

Do cryo drivers chain up in winter in midwest states? I've only ever chained up on I-70 dry van hauling mail and I don't mind doing it again, it wasn't as bad as I thought, but it was a weekly, almost daily thing in the winter.

    Messer and Matheson are producers.
    Meaning they make the products.
Almost all the others are just carriers.
