Not often you pull in a Truckstop and park by a rock truck….

You ever heard the old FRAM slogan..? "Pay me now, or pay me later."
I think I still have a picture of the 1st work order we did and the check that paid it. Head gasket on a Hyster, where the Hyster road mechanic had diagnosed engine smoking and transmission slipping. Both would require complete rebuild....
Head gasket was blown between 2 and 3 where the distributor plugged in. Steamy vapor and no power. Head gasket fixed it right up...Truck was still working every day with routine in house (very little) maintenance when RAM Golf shut down in Pontotoc, MS.
Occasionally, you can get the golden opportunity to turn the mirror back in the face of your competition.....jamespmack, 1951 ford, cke and 8 others Thank this. -
I’ve never owned a Glock. Yes, they have the most accessories available, but brand new in the box, I don’t like the grips. And they all seem to have the exact same grips.jamespmack, Walk Among Us, 1951 ford and 9 others Thank this.

Yes, sir. Contingency plan training, if one hand is disabled. Not as easy as when I was younger, but still doable.jamespmack, Walk Among Us, 1951 ford and 9 others Thank this.

Hope he's in remission then. Any update on Payton, by the way?

Other than I own one, I'm probably the last guy to ask about one because my inexperience with it.
It does seem they've had the same checker grip design for 25+ years? I'm sure you know, but they do offer a few different sized backstraps for hand sizes, or preference. Seems the checkering don't change, so you'd probably still be uncomfortable with it.?
Maybe it time to start practicing with it or trade toward something I've had my eye on since 1995.. loljamespmack, 1951 ford, sawmill and 6 others Thank this. -
@singlescrewshaker How’s Pinky holding up?
@Sons Hero posted a facebook link to this fine looking ‘87 K-whopper not too far from me that has me a little excited right now.
Might be right up your alley.jamespmack, cke, Feedman and 6 others Thank this. -
The best handgun is the one that fits. If it fits well, you can shoot well with it. For me that’s actually your basic WW2 issue 1911. I just think they fit and point well for me.
Glocks are very safe and reliable though, for those who see that as their priority.jamespmack, sawmill, cke and 7 others Thank this.
