I'm praying the Petro in Santa Nella doesn't close down. Kind of the same situation. Really close to a TA. They've already closed down the shop. It's a nice, quiet place to park that always has spots.

There used to be a truckstop across the street from the Pilot there (I think it was a Petro) but it’s long gone.

There is a Loves across the street from that Pilot. It was an independent that closed down in the early 2000's.

No Pilot location in Corning, Ca. Originally it had a 76 truck plaza, that was turned into the T/A. Directly across the road, was a branded independent truck plaza that was rebranded as the Petro, the loves was originally built as a flying J.
In the early 90’s Petro bought out about a dozen locations in California that had been either Chevron or Arco retailers. This was one of the locations. The Santa Nella petro was another in that buyout.

I am confused about what is American and what isn't.because BP , ( British Petroleum) if I am not mistaken ....bought TA, so BP now owns TA, Love's , Pilot Flying J . Except Pilot is 30 plus percent owned by berkshire hathaway.
It seems odd to me that our Truck Stops are owned by another country.
I just got a feeling as well that WE THE PEOPLE ....is not the focus of anyone in charge......sigh ....as we all know it is all about money. There is nothing truly worth having that money can buy. It can't buy a friend, it can't buy integrity, or the truth.
But I would not mind having money and what it cannot buy. I
I am American and I love you Truck Drivers. You have given to me a happiness that is magical. Keep the rubber side down and stay safe and happy.

Loves is privately owned by the original Love family in Oklahoma. Pilot/Flying J is wholly owned by Berkshire Hathaway. BP owns TA/PETRO.

Do your homework on who owns what before you comment. Buzzarddriver has told you correctly. BP used to own TA many years ago when it was Truckstops of America.
