That's what I thought, because although I couldn't get this delta ring down (because it's new and strong), when I used to clean my service one, I always took those off, and I figured it's the way a standard mil-spec was with that narrowing. I know the A2 version had a thicker barrel, as one of the improvements they made to combat overheating, so I wanted to check to make sure whether it was consistent, but apparently not. I never trained with the A2, so couldn't be sure.

Sorry it won't work for you, stock, but it's the only stock mil-spec I could find with the carry handle, and since I've had this, Colt, as far as I understand, still hasn't come out with the A1 Retro version, so in hind sight, considering I wanted to avoid waiting until Joe put his second Assualt Rifle ban in effect which prevented me from getting one in 1994, I got it before the election just to make sure, this time....it was a good decision. Now I just have to find time to get out to the range and get it zeroed.

 

Is this for a customer, or are you working on another project already?

Sleeper trucks with belly dumps lined up a dozen deep waiting for hot mix at the bottom of the hill this morning. Outfit was offering $125/hr for day cab you provide trailer 7 or 8 axles not a lot of takers locally- less you use their trailer. I'll have to find out what they are paying now with so many sleeper trucks in line, must be peanuts.

 

8 inch barrel? What make?

 

I’m new to this dump game but, there are a lot of out of town trucks here doing dump. like from other states. I was thinking it’s slow but they say there’s more work here than where there coming from? I can’t believe this is normal but, I really don’t know?

 

I went to a 3 gun competition a few years back with my EDC, AR15 pistol and an AR12 with a 20 round mag. All of these geeks with competition guns, holsters, shirts with sponsors on them. They looked at me like I was some sort of weirdo. Felt like being looked down on by a bunch of Trekkies when you don’t get involved in science fiction debates.
